Subnovii Plasma Treatment Explained
Plasma technology takes advantage of the fine layer of ionized gas, or plasma, that exists along the surface of your skin. How does Subnovii Plasma Treatment work?
Subnovii is the first plasma device to use low frequency technology-plus a patented wavelength and power combination. The plasma pen discharges an ionized gas in the air to create a small electrical arc that improves the appearance of the skin without heating the surrounding tissue.
What does Subnovii Plasma Treatment target?
Subnovii Plasma Pen can be used to restore youth to the eye area. It uses low-frequency energy to stimulate collagen and elastin production below the skin’s surface in the eye area to replicate the similar effects of an eye lift without having surgery. It can also restore youth to other areas of the face including smile lines, wrinkles around the corners of the mouth, nasolabial folds, forehead lines, crows feet, drooping brows, necklines and wrinkles.
How many treatments will I need?
Subnovii plasma treatment may be repeated, if necessary, four months post first treatment.
How should I prepare for the treatment?
Please avoid sun exposure for at least two weeks prior to your Subnovii appointment. Please discontinue products in your skincare routine that may increase your sensitivity to the treatment, such as retinols and acids, one week prior to your appointment.
What should I expect the day of treatment?
- Photos will be taken so that your progress can be documented
- Topical Anesthetic will be applied to help with comfort during treatment
- After about 30 minutes, the treatment will begin.
- A smoke evacuator will be placed by the area treated. This device is used to capture and filter the plume generated during the procedure, thereby maintaining a safe environment for the provider and the patient.
- Immediately after the treatment, the Subnovii Recovery Cream and the Recovery Powder will be applied. These products must be used for several days to ensure optimal healing and results.
- Every patient will receive specially formulated post-care products and instructions to keep the area dry to help with the healing process. It is important to use sun protection long after treatment.
What should I expect post treatment?
Your skin will look slightly pink and may be swollen after treatment. Small scabs will form that can take 5-10 days to fall off. This process is normal, and the tiny crusts serve as a protective barrier. Once your skin heals, your skin feels tighter and renewed. Healing time can take 1 to 2 weeks. Optimal results are only achieved by maintaining an undisturbed and dry environment. Results can be seen immediately after the treatment and beyond. You will see continued improvements for up to six months after your Subnovii procedure.
