How does SkinPen work?
SkinPen creates microscopic channels in the skin that stimulate the body’s natural healing processes. Those healing effects can continue for months following treatment. The treatment works by triggering collagen and elastin production, which results in naturally smoother, more even and youthful-looking skin.
What does SkinPen target?
SkinPen helps reveal smooth, healthy skin. This treatment smooths wrinkles on the neck, improves the appearance of acne scars, skin tone, and texture.
How many treatments will I need?
Results are possible after just one treatment, but at least three are recommended.
How should I prepare for the treatment?
One month prior to treatment, avoid having a chemical peel, laser or light treatment. Discontinue any Retinol use one week prior to treatment. On treatment day, you should not have an active breakout, active cold sores, or open lesions. If this occurs, your microneedling treatment should be rescheduled.
What should I expect the day of treatment?
The skin is first gently cleansed then a numbing cream may be applied. With numbing cream, the patient may only feel a tingling sensation. Each treatment typically lasts 30 minutes or less.
What should I expect post treatment?
After treatment the skin may appear slightly pink to red, similar to a mild to moderate sunburn. Some patients may experience symptoms such as dryness, rough skin, itching, peeling, and tenderness. This usually resolves within one to three days. The results may appear after just one treatment, but will continue to improve three to six months following your last treatment.
How much does SkinPen cost?
Cost of treatment: The cost of the treatment starts at $425. It varies depending on the location and size of the area to be treated as well as the number of treatments needed. Each treatment plan is customized to meet your individual needs. We offer complimentary consultations where we will do an evaluation of your skin and address your areas of concern. You will then be given a quote for your treatment plan.
